Brian C. Tryon, MD

Dr. Tryon's subspecialty is in neuroradiological imaging with an interest in stroke, head and neck radiology, diagnostic angiography, general IR procedures, spinal imaging (including discography, myelography, vertebroplasty, facet injections) and biopsy procedures.

Dr. Tryon completed his medical school, internship, and residency in diagnostic radiology at the Drexel University College of Medicine, the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University Hospitals, all located in Philadelphia. While there, Dr. Tryon received a full scholarship for graduate research studying tissue transplantation and recovery of vestibulospinal function following spinal cord injury. He completed his fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Tryon has a MD/PhD scholarship from The School of Biomedical Science as well as the Dr. Mary Yankosky Award in Radiologic Science from the Hahnemann School of Medicine. He also has a student recognition award for outstanding academic performance in neurobiology and anatomy from Allegheny University of Health Science (now Drexel University School of Medicine). Dr. Tryon received the “Sustained Superior Performance Employee” award at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Diego, California.

Dr. Tryon grew up with an athletic background in southern California and enjoys a wide variety of activities with his family, which include backpacking, hiking, skiing, cycling, sailing and soaring. In addition, he enjoys writing short stories.
